Cookery for everyone

The way Cook’s Barn has been set out, with its fully operational studio kitchen, makes it ideally suited to both cookery demonstrations and fully hands-on cookery classes.  This is a long-term evolving project involving a variety of culinary experts covering a diverse range of disciplines such as cooking for fun, for health, for children, for adults who have never cooked before and for great cooks who want to be even better.

Brainchild

The Cookery School idea was the brainchild of Chris Eadon, M.D. of Stonetime, and stems from his the love of cooking and eating good food and the desire to help others of like mind.

“Not only is our cookery School a brilliant opportunity for anyone wanting to achieve a great level of confidence in the kitchen, the whole experience is an amazing resource for ongoing culinary inspiration”. – Chris Eadon.

Social cookery

The long term aim for the Cookery School is to build a social network of like-minded foodies who can meet regularly in a very friendly atmosphere, make friends, share recipes and tips and indulge their passion for learning more about food and cooking.

Most cookery schools seem to fall into one of two categories; there is the chef or teacher who works alone from home and the number of students is limited by the size of their kitchen, usually about 6.  Then there is the stately home or celebrity chef’s academy providing an experience to be treasured but both seem to have one thing in common – most of us can only attend if we are given a gift voucher and then we go just the once.

Affordable

At cook’s Barn we are aiming to create classes big enough to make it affordable for most people to attend regularly whilst retaining the personal hands-on touch. We believe that and expensive showcase master class may be great fun once in a while but is not the way to learn how to become a better cook (unless you can afford to go every week) but if that’s what you are into then try this link; www.jeanchristophenovelli.com

At least you will get the opportunity to cook on the fabulous Lacanche!
